Al-Sami'i, and the presence of representatives of the local authority in the towns of Wardanin and Moknine, and of representatives of the various interests and structures concerned, was devoted to the instruction of the project of attachment of the town of Wardanin and the region from Galalat to Moknine with natural gas.
In order to improve the infrastructure of the city of Wardanine and improve the living conditions of citizens, the local community and representatives of the components of civil society have requested in recent years, as part of regional development plans , to consider the possibility of supplying the town of Wardanine with natural gas, and after strengthening the mandate of Monastir and the technological pole with a new main network for natural gas, preliminary technical studies were prepared to create a sub - main channel to supply the town of Wardanin with natural gas.
To ensure the implementation of this project, today, during the working session, it was envisaged to solve certain real estate problems and expropriation for public utility reasons to pass the main canal in order to supply the town of Wardanin in natural gas.
In the same context and with the aim of supplying natural gas to the Qallalat area in the town of Moknine in order to reduce environmental pollution and increase the productivity of pottery production and improve its quality, the project of supplying the pottery workshops in gallons with natural gas was examined during the working session.
According to studies carried out previously, the cost of supplying the Galalat zone with natural gas has been set at around 740 thousand dinars. Representatives of the Tunisian Electricity and Gas Company in Moknine were invited to update the study in order to implement the project as soon as possible because of its positive points in terms of the environment and the protection of the ocean against atmospheric pollution Mainly, and economically by improving the quality of the pottery and ceramics product, improving the productivity and reducing the rate of deterioration during firing in the traditional way from 15 to 5 %.
Representatives of the profession stressed that the implementation of the project to supply natural gas to the El-Qallalat area and to renovate the furnaces will make it possible to improve the quality of the product, to diversify it and to add the value to the product to ensure the competitiveness of the pottery. artisans, especially on international markets.
