In the presence of the delegates of Al-Bakalta and Al-Muknin, and in the presence of the members of the committee and representatives of the components of civil society and national organizations, it is important that the involvement be voluntary and collective of all the actors and interventionists to fight against the pandemic of the Corona virus, as well as by relying on the sensitization of the citizens, in particular the voluntary sensitization and the automatic acceptance of the procedures And the decisions which are proposed locally and issued by the authority regional and central to contain the virus and limit its spread.

The governor of Monastir called on representatives of the components of civil society and representatives of national organizations in the region to contribute more effectively to awareness campaigns on the importance of wearing a mask, physical distancing, respect for health protocols. and compliance with the procedures and decisions issued. by regional and central authority.
Regional health director Hammouda El-Babbah explained that indicators of Corona virus infection are high in the Bekalta delegation despite the small population and compared to other delegations, where it reached 520 active cases for 100,000 inhabitants, and he pointed out that a third of the population of the Bekalta delegation is infected with the virus.
And the regional health director added that the situation is sensitive and delicate, given the diversity of coronavirus strains in the region, as has been proven among 9 cases of genetic cutting of the Indian strain, 4 infections of the British strain, and 4 cases of normal viral infection.
Members of the local committee and representatives of civil society components in Bakalta reported the increase in the number of HIV infections due to the large number of weddings and festive events on the one hand, and the launch of the tourist and summer season, given the influx of vacationers to the beaches of the tourist town of Bakalta, which welcomes 70,000 vacationers every summer, every day from different sides as well as the economic and commercial movement that can cause the expansion the spread of infection.
Members of the local Bakalta committee called for the need to strengthen control and rigor in the application of the law to offenders, in addition to intensifying awareness campaigns on the importance of wearing a mask, respect for health protocols and the importance of registration in the immunization system. .
The members of the local committee also demanded more strengthening of the surveillance and prevention of gatherings and weddings, as well as the organization of the erection of the weekly market and the daily market in the city to ensure physical distancing and reduce the over population.
