The governor of Monastir confirmed that the deputation of Jamal is witnessing an increase in the number of active cases infected with the Corona virus, in view of the lack of commitment of some citizens and owners of businesses open to the public with health protocol, the low rate registration in the immunization system and refusal to receive vaccine doses.
The governor of Monastir added that the meeting of the local committee was held in the presence of its members and representatives of civil society, with the aim of listening to local proposals to limit the spread of the infection and surround it. , while inviting the local administration, civil society and all stakeholders in the region to help raise awareness and educate citizens on the importance of registration in the vaccination system and compliance with health protocols and by procedures and decisions announced at regional and national level, in particular the prevention of public and private celebrations, funerals and condolences in cemeteries or homes.
And the regional director of health, Hammouda El-Babba, indicated that the Jamal delegation recorded, in the last 14 days, 671 active cases per 100,000 inhabitants, which is a high indicator compared to the regional average of 432 cases.
The regional health director warned of the gravity of the situation if the virus continued to spread and citizens did not adhere to health procedures and protocols, pointing to the rapid spread of new strains, especially the spreading Indian strain. rapid, and transmission of infection. in tens of seconds.
