Friday, June 11, this visit will be devoted to monitoring the state of marine reviews and the various activities associated with them, and discussing solutions to environmental pollution and marine erosion.
Mr. Akram Al-Sebri, the governor of Monastir, received this morning the Secretary General of Maritime Affairs and the delegation which accompanied him and informed it in the presence of Mr. Lazhar Al-Shamli, Deputy, Tariq Al-Bakoush, First Commissioner, Al-Bashir Attia, Secretary General of State, and Wajih Boumeza, acting delegate of Monastir, and in the presence of a group of regional officials and representatives of national organizations, the most important axes programmed to be followed in through a number of field visits:
1- The environmental state of the marine ocean, sources and points of marine pollution, in particular wastewater estuaries, treatment plants, wadis, pollution by plastic materials, the state of the marine public domain and the protection of beaches against marine erosion.
2- The status of the island of Kuria and the state of progress of its disposal.
3-Follow-up projects linked to the protection of marine resources, biodiversity and aquaculture.
4- Protect marine resources and fight against indiscriminate fishing.
5- Marinas and development of maritime tourism.
6- Training in the maritime fields, the marine manufacturing and repair sector, the development of the sector and the fields of water sports.
